Hand Holders

For some reason I have fallen in love with placeholders lately. It makes me want to have a dinner party. But it seems a bit rude to be telling people where they have to sit. I think their best, and most polite, use is for labeling food when serving buffet style. It also helps your guests not ask "Ummm.....what is that?" (Which I most recently asked at a client's Indian-style garden party. However names of desserts such as Gulab Jamun, and Burfi, need more explanation)

hmmmm yes those desserts look very....odd. but i bet they're good! um when we come down in october, you can have a dinner party!!!

plus, i dont think it is rude to tell people where to sit. i think that it makes it less awkward for people when they come and have to try to decide who to sit by, and you can set people up that way too! haha
